Team World's Best Hope Against Him
For all of Alcaraz's dominance, Team World will take encouragement from recent events. Alcaraz returned from a four-month injury absence at the US Open and was beaten by Ben Shelton in four sets during that tournament. Shelton had been named in Team World's lineup but withdrew after a packed fortnight that included a runner-up finish at the US Open and a Davis Cup commitment.
